Despite lacking much of an offense for the majority of the season, the Pittsburgh Steelers have managed to finish 7-4

and hold the fifth seed in the AFC. Their defense, which is ranked fifth in the NFL in terms of points allowed per game,

is a major factor in their success as they are able to limit opposing teams to few points.

This past week against the Cincinnati Bengals, their offense performed better, but the defense carried the team as they

limited Cincy to 10 points. Of course, T.J. Watt, the former Defensive Player of the Year, leads the Steelers defense with

13.5 sacks, tied for the league lead. Watt had two sacks and a forced fumble against the Bengals.

Mike Tomlin, the coach of the Steelers, believes Watt is the best. Let’s be forthright. Right now, T.J.

is the world’s best defensive player. And he shows us that every single week with the plays he gives us,

” Tomlin remarked. According to the Steelers website, “not only for the defense but for our football team.”
