OFFICE NEWS: Boston Bruins KEY player set to “MISS” three-weeks match due to……

Jeremy Swayman could start for the Boston Bruins in Game Four.

The coaching staff has given starting goalkeeper Jeremy Swayman serious thought

ahead of the Boston Bruins’ game four clash against the Florida Panthers this afternoon.

Linus Ullmark was listed as a game-time decision prior to game three due to a persistent

injury. Luckily for the Bruins, the Swedish goaltender continued to play a confident game

as Boston defeated the Panthers 4-2 on Friday, recording 28 saves.

Montgomery mentioned on Saturday that there were plans to travel with Jeremy. “Just for

the simple reason that Jeremy is great. Additionally, there will be a gap of [two] days between

Games 4 and 5 following tomorrow’s game. They’ve left for the rink; upon their return, I’ll meet

with [Bruins goalkeeper coach Bob Essensa] and he will inform me.

Fortunately for the Bruins, Swayman has experience in the Stanley Cup Playoffs having started

much of Boston’s 2022 playoffs first-round series against the Carolina Hurricanes. After the

Bruins dropped their first two postseason games, Swayman was added to the starting lineup.

In the end, Swayman assisted Boston in requiring a seventh game prior to the Hurricanes

dispatching them. The native of Alaska was formidable in his first postseason game, finishing

with a goals-against average of 2.63 in five games and a save percentage of.911. Boston supporters had to be pleased with Swayman’s play for a rookie at the time, considering the team was trailing 2-0 in the series.

Throughout the 2022–2023 season, Ullmark and Swayman split time in goal, helping the

Bruins win their fourth Presidents’ Trophy as the top regular season club in the league.

Ullmark and Swayman earned the rightful William M. Jennings Trophy for being the best

goaltender duo in the NHL, allowing the fewest goals allowed throughout the regular season,

as a consequence of their achievements.

Ullmark will probably win the Vezina Trophy after having a fantastic regular season for Boston,

but Swayman’s play can also be partly credited for Ullmark’s success. During the regular season,

the two goalies continuously complimented each other’s play, and this year, they only had six regulation defeats between them and each had at least a.920 save %.

As was previously noted, Ullmark’s health is a cause for concern. The Boston lineup has persevered despite the loss of important players due to injuries sustained by the Bruins during the first three Stanley Cup Playoff games, including those to captain Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci. With Swayman at their back, the team will be just as successful today with or without Ullmark in the net as they possess the greatest goalie combination in the NHL.

We won’t reveal the official starting lineup until right before puck drop, which is at 3:30 PM. The Bruins have an opportunity to take a decisive 3-1 series lead, regardless of who gets in goal for them today. The series will return to Boston for game five on Wednesday.
