Andrew Nabbout, a winger for Melbourne City, is anticipated to miss the 2023–24 campaign due to an injury he sustained during a private match last week.

Nabbout is projected to be sidelined for the entire season due to an Achilles injury that he sustained last Wednesday. The Club is presently seeking the advice of specialists regarding the issue.

Andy has the support of the entire club and we hope he heals quickly.

Following the announcement that Socceroos winger Andrew Nabbout will miss six weeks due to a hamstring injury, Melbourne City was dealt a severe blow.

Midway through the second half, Nabbout attempted a sprint and pulled up, clutching at his left hamstring. This happened during Tuesday’s 1-0 A-League victory over Brisbane Roar.

The 28-year-old’s hamstring injury sustained while playing for Melbourne Victory last season also caused him to miss several weeks of action.

Nabbout’s injury will severely hurt City’s lineup, however it’s uncertain how many games he’ll miss because the A-League schedule is still being finalized for a number of games.

On Sunday, City will return to action at Coopers Stadium when they play Adelaide.
