Ronnie O’Sullivan want to withdraw in some competition due to……

The day before he was supposed to play his first match in the snooker Champion of Champions competition, Ronnie O’Sullivan withdrew.

This week, the 16 event winners from the previous year will square off in the final match before the 2023 season comes to an end at University of Bolton Stadium. With a record-breaking four titles under his belt, O’Sullivan will take home a £150,000 priz

But O’Sullivan will not take up the chance to extend his record this week as he announced his withdrawal. The Rocket announced his decision on social media, citing a desire to look after his mental health as his main reason for pulling out.

He greeted everyone, saying, I would like to inform you that I will be missing tomorrow’s Champions of Champions event. I want to take care of both my physical and emotional well-being because I feel a little worn out and anxious. I apologize to all of my supporters, but I promise to return stronger.”

On Wednesday afternoon, O’Sullivan was supposed to play Zhang Anda, the winner of the International Championship. Instead of facing Zhang, Ding Junhui will now travel to Bolton to replace O’Sullivan.

The winner of the matchup will next play either Chris Wakelin or John Higgins on Thursday in the quarterfinals. Sunday is the final. Zhang won the International Championship by defeating Tom Ford, so he qualified for the competition.
