Confrontation’ between Ali Carter and Ronnie O’Sullivan supporters during the Masters snooker final.

When Ali Carter faced Ronnie O’Sullivan inside Alexandra Palace during the Masters, he was not happy with the audience.
Ali Carter, a Masters finalist, allegedly got into an altercation with supporters of Ronnie O’Sullivan at the main tournament held at Alexandra Palace. The Captain did not take well to fans who were applauding for the seven-time champion while he was leading the final, which the Rocket ultimately won.

At a scene that was not captured by television cameras in the tenth frame, Carter reportedly got into a fight with a number of fans who were rooting for his opponent.
BBC pundit Shaun Murphy recalled the incident: “I’ve just witnessed out of the back of my eye, before Carter played that shot, he had a short encounter with a few of members of the audience who were crying out for O’Sullivan. All he has to do is keep that in mind and stay out of it. He will be aware that O’Sullivan is the preferred candidate in his hometown, and for good reason.”

Carter led 6-3 at that point, but the all-time great snooker player displayed a champion’s attitude by taking the next seven frames to complete the championship.
Carter and O’Sullivan do have a rocky relationship and have regularly battled at the table, with O’Sullivan throwing a jibe towards the Captain before proceedings began in Sunday’s final.
