Ali Carter: If I don’t win him, it will be a shame for my snooker career!!

Following his defeat at the Masters, Ali Carter engages in a heated verbal exchange with a snooker rival, calling yet another supporter of Ronnie O’Sullivan “a moron.”

After O’Sullivan overcame Carter 10-7 at Alexandra Palace on Sunday night after trailing 6-3, Carter reacted violently on X, the previous Twitter platform.

On Sunday, the heated back and forth began when Carter called the audience, who was largely supportive of O’Sullivan, “morons” and “not smart enough.”

He said that O’Sullivan’snotted’ on the floor the following day, which set off the Rocket’s violent retaliation.

Carter has now carried on his verbal sparring and responded angrily to a fan who claimed he blew a decent lead.

Jonny Ross, the fan, stated on X, a platform that was originally Twitter, “It was history repeating itself.”

After the afternoon session, Getty Carter—who has never won a snooker major—led 5-3, but The Rocket took the lead in the evening play due to some sloppy potting.

O’Sullivan, who has previously won the UK Championship, is aiming for perfection in the snooker Triple Crowns this season. He won the final four frames to secure victory and maintain his dreams of a £1 million Ronnie Slam.

Carter must start over from scratch, and his disappointment was evident to everyone in Ally Pally.

Steve Dawson, the chairman of the World Snooker Tour, gave the world number 10 his runner-up medal, but he refused to let Dawson put it around his neck and instead held it in his hand.
