Philippe Clement to terminate his contract as John Bennett is not allowing me to……..

A better transfer model is what Rangers manager Philippe Clement is calling for: “Five players out of contract is crazy.”
The club’s sole January acquisition to date is Fabio Silva, who was signed on loan. The Belgian manager is seeking reforms to the transfer market since he anticipates losing important players in the summer.

While lamenting the “crazy situation” in which five Rangers players are out of contract in the summer, Philippe Clement has acknowledged that he hopes to see an improved transfer strategy at the team.

At the end of the season, first-team players Leon Balogun, Borna Barisic, John Lundstram, Ryan Jack, and Kemar Roofe will all go unless the Ibrox club extends an offer to them that they accept.

The Govan club has made over £30 million from the sales of players like midfielder Joe Aribo to Southampton, defender Calvin Bassey to Ajax, and Glen Kamara to Leeds last summer. However, the club did not profit from the likes of former attackers Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos when they were at their best.

Thus far in the January transfer window, the manager of the Gers has only added Portuguese striker Fabio Silva on loan from Wolves.
Before Saturday’s Scottish Cup fourth-round matchup between Dumbarton and the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup at the Dumbarton Football Stadium, he was eager to discuss a more progressive transfer policy.
“We have our plan and I think everyone is on board, that the club really wants to try to do things within the budget,” Clement stated.

“It’s crazy that five players this season aren’t under contract because that means money wasted. If the contract is terminated, they are no longer worth anything.
