TORONTO RAPTORS sign $1.3 billion deal with…

Gradey Dick, the #1 draft pick of the Toronto Raptors, gets an Adidas contract.
Gradey Dick, the first draft selection of the Toronto Raptors, declared on social media on Monday that he had officially signed with Adidas.

Before being selected as the 13th overall choice in the 2023 NBA Draft, Dick was a collegiate basketball player at Kansas. During his time in college, he signed a NIL (Name, Image and Likeness) contract with Adidas.

Before entering the NBA Draft, the 19-year-old spent a season with the Jayhawks, averaging 14.1 points and 5.1 rebounds as a freshman.

During the 2023 Summer League, Dick made his Raptors debut, playing in four of the team’s five games. The small forward finished the competition with 21 points, five rebounds, and two assists, demonstrating consistent growth.

Adidas also signed Jalen Hood-Schifino, who was taken by the Los Angeles Lakers with the No. 17 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.

As part of Adidas’ 2023 campaign honoring “invaluable individuals who stand behind each player,” Dick’s parents were engaged in the unveiling.

“Adidas basketball announced that it is thrilled to formally welcome Gradey Dick and Jalen Hood-Schifino into the Adidas family. We also want to pay tribute to their village, the unsung heroes who have given them unwavering support and inspiration throughout their journey.”

“Without my village, I wouldn’t be here. It takes a village.” We win when I win, Dick remarked. “Happy to announce that I’ve joined the family of Adidas Basketball!”
