Patriots quarterback Bailey Zappe announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Hannah Lewis on Sunday, sharing a peek at the dreamy outdoor proposal on Instagram.

“Zappe Ever After?” the 24-year-old Zappe cheekily captioned the snap.

In the post, Zappe — who enjoyed a breakout early in his rookie season last year — can be seen on one knee as he slides an engagement ring onto Lewis’ finger.

 

The longtime couple is also surrounded by rose petals in the shape of a heart.

 

It’s been a thrilling 12 months for Zappe and Lewis, who have been dating for more than five years.

A fourth-round selection out of Western Kentucky in the 2022 NFL Draft, Zappe was thrust into action last October when Patriots backup quarterback Brian Hoyer was ruled out of a game against the Packers due to a head injury.

At the time, Hoyer replaced injured starter Mac Jones, who suffered a high-ankle sprain the week prior.

 

Zappe threw his first career touchdown in the Week 4 overtime loss to the Packers before making his first NFL start in Week 5 against the Lions.

 

He then led the Patriots to a blowout win versus the Lions and followed up that performance with a turnover-free outing against the Browns in Week 6.

Through four regular-games, Zappe threw for 781 yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions.

Zappe was one of the lone bright spots of the Patriots’ offense this season, which included a quarterback controversy that ignited a debate in the locker room.

The Patriots have since turned the page on a paltry 2022 with the hiring of former Albama offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien.

 

As Zappe enters his sophomore season in the league, he’ll now be splitting his time between studying the playbook and wedding planning.
