Done deal: Pittsburgh Steelers are set to strike a lucrative deal with an incredible player that will add more strength to the squad.

Steelers WR coach Zach Azzanni met extensively with Texas WR Xavier Worthy

The speedy receiver is on the Steelers’ radar

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a dire need at wide receiver, no secret about it. With the trade of Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers, they are now missing George Pickens’ opposite perimeter receiver.

The Steelers are conducting their due diligence at Pro Days across the country, including Texas, in light of this. In order to see the three receivers—Xavier Worthy, AD Mitchell, and Jordan Whittington—who will all hear their names called in April, the Steelers sent wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni to Texas. After the Pro Day was over, Worthy spoke with two teams: the Indianapolis Colts and the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to Tony Pauline of Sportskeeda. On All Steelers Talk, Noah Strackbein also mentioned that the Steelers spent a lot of time with Worthy overall and that Azzanni had taken him out to dinner. At the start of the NFL Combine, Worthy ran a 40-yard dash in 4.21 seconds, shattering the record.
