‘Talented’ Shamar Joseph won’t be playing PBKS game: LSG coach Justin Langer

Lucknow Super Giants coach Justin Langer heaped praise on Shamar Joseph but said that the West Indian pacer will need to wait for his chance to make his IPL debut. Langer said Shamar isn’t expected to play the match against Punjab Kings on March 30.

In Short

  • Shamar replaced Mark Wood in the LSG squad
  • Langer said they will stick with Naveen as their overseas pacer
  • LSG are looking to win their first match of the season vs PBKS

Justin Langer, the coach of the Lucknow Super Giants, believes that Shamar Joseph would have to wait to make his IPL debut as he does not anticipate the West Indies pacer to be included in the starting eleven for the team’s encounter against Punjab Kings on March 30. Shamar was awarded an IPL contract following Mark Wood’s decision to withdraw from the IPL 2024 season. Shamar was a key player in the West Indies’ historic victory over Australia at the Gabba.
