American professional baseball player Nicholas Alexander Castellanos (cas-tee-YAH-nos;[1] born March 4, 1992) plays third base and right field for the Major League Baseball (MLB) Philadelphia Phillies. He was a player with the Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, and Detroit Tigers in the past.

After being selected by the Detroit Tigers as a high school prospect in 2010, Castellanos rose to prominence in the baseball world. After participating in the 2012 All-Star Futures Game, Castellanos won the title of most valuable player. September 1, 2013, was his MLB debut with the Tigers. Castellanos was traded by the Tigers to the Chicago Cubs in 2019. He inked a four-year contract with the Cincinnati Reds prior to the 2020 campaign. He received the Silver Slugger Award, was picked for the All-Star Game, and was listed on the All-MLB Second Team in 2021. He elected to leave the Reds after the 2021 season, and he subsequently inked a five-year deal with the Phillies.

The son of Castellanos was born in August 2013.[69] In 2015, he wed Vanessa Hernandez, his high school love and son’s mother.[70] In 2017, they got divorced.[71] Castellanos and Jessica Gomez tied the knot on February 8, 2021, having begun dating in 2017.[72] In May of 2022, their son was born.[73]
